Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and StackForge Studios ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account or using PlateStack, you agree to these Terms. Plain-English summary: be a good user, subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel, Lifetime is one-time and capped, PlateStack isn't medical advice.

1. The service

PlateStack is a mobile fitness and nutrition application available on iOS and Android. The service includes nutrition logging, workout logging, an AI-powered coach, gamification features, and crew-based social accountability ("Service").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use PlateStack. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Accounts

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us at support@platestackapp.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions and payments

PlateStack offers a free tier and paid subscriptions ("Fitness AI" at $6.99/month, "Full Premium" at $9.99/month) plus a one-time "Lifetime" purchase. Pricing in this document reflects launch pricing in USD; localized pricing in the App Store and Google Play may differ slightly to reflect regional tax and platform conventions.

  • Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store).
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal.
  • You can cancel anytime from your platform's subscriptions screen. Your access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google per their refund policies. Contact platform support directly.

4.1 Lifetime tier

The Lifetime tier is a one-time purchase that grants access to Full Premium features for the duration of the Service.

  • Hard cap: the Lifetime tier is limited to a total of 1,000 licenses globally. The cap is enforced at the database level. Once 1,000 are issued, the tier is closed permanently.
  • Non-transferable: Lifetime licenses are tied to your account and cannot be sold, gifted, or transferred.
  • Service longevity: "Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the Service. We will provide reasonable advance notice if the Service is discontinued.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app.
  • Scrape, mass-harvest, or redistribute any data accessed through the Service.
  • Use the Service to harass, harm, or impersonate others.
  • Use Crews / Arena features to share illegal content or to harass other members.
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service or attempt to bypass usage limits.
  • Use automated means to create accounts or generate activity.

6. Crews and user-generated content

Crews are private, invite-only groups. Activity broadcast inside a crew (logs, PRs, milestones, cheers, nudges) is visible only to crew members. You retain ownership of the data you log; by joining a crew you grant us a license to display your activity to other crew members for the purpose of providing the Crew feature.

7. AI features and disclaimers

  • AI-generated content (food estimates, coach responses, meal plans) is generated by third-party models and may be inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Always review AI output before relying on it.
  • AI features are not medical, dietary, or training advice. They are informational only.

8. Health disclaimer

PlateStack is not a medical device. Nothing in the app constitutes medical, nutritional, or fitness advice from a licensed professional. Consult a qualified provider before starting or modifying any program.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, features, code, logos, and content, is owned by StackForge Studios and protected by US and international copyright and trademark law. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

10. Termination

  • You may delete your account anytime via the in-app option or via /delete-account.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
  • On termination, your data is deleted per the timeline in the Privacy Policy (within 30 days).

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, StackForge Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

12. Changes to the service or terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms. Material changes to the Terms will be communicated in-app or by email to your registered address. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
